PDP CRISIS: Saki West Acting Chairman, Hon Gbenga Akinola And His Thugs Disrupts PDP General Meeting, Attacks Party Vice Chairman

 


The acting chairman of Saki West Local Government Hon Gbenga Akinola who was sworn-in during the early hours of today following the directives of Oyo State House of Assembly after the suspension of the immediate Chairman, Engr Sarafadeen Omirinde Ahmed sent some political thugs to disrupt the peace of People's Democratic Party at their weekly meeting held at Isale-Taba Saki, Oyo State.


According to the eye witnesses, the General meeting was presided by Vice Chairman and during the meeting, some members of the party lamented on the suspension of Engr Sarafadeen Omirinde who ask to step aside for further investigation over the allegations against him by Oyo State House of Assembly in replacement pf Hon Gbenga Akinola as acting chairman, saying the suspension is not fair as the allegations levelled against him conceived conspiracy and envy.

The meeting became tensed as Hon Gbenga Akinola allies expressed their grievances and along the line, it was reported that a man  named Seun Ojo who was recognized as one of Hon. Gbenga's thugs, angrily attacked the party vice chairman who was beckoning and cautioning the already violent newly appointed chairman, Hon Gbenga Akinola.

 In accordance with the incidents, some members of the party kept expressing their displeasure over Omirinde's suspension with emphasis that Hon Gbenga Akinola is not worth the office following his previous records and poor antecedents. Observations also surrounded the alias of the newly appointed chairman "Maari e" which translates into "I will see you later". Such alias according to sensitive members of the party does not speak of a good personality and it won't take PDP as a party to its land of attainment

However,  concerned members of the party PDP have drawn the attention of relevant stakeholders in Saki West LG, the State Party excos and Governor of Oyo state His Excellecy Engr Seyi Makinde into the menace happening in Saki West PDP which calls for the need to caution Hon Gbenga Akinola and his loyalists for trying to destabilize the peace in the Party.
