In response to Dr. Lasisi Olagunju's comment, the commissioner, Prince Dotun Oyelade, claimed that within the last five years, Governor Seyi Makinde constructed roads totaling 150km, allowing travel from Ibadan to Ogbomosoland without touching a federal road. Prince Dotun Oyelade specifically said: "As a matter of fact, " you can now ply the Ibadan-Iseyin road and from Iseyin to Ogbomosoland, a distance of 150km without stepping on a federal road; all constructed by Gov. Seyi Makinde within the last five years”. He compared this accomplishment with Lagos State's, highlighting Oyo's superior performance despite its lower IGR (60 billion for Lagos vs 4 billion for Oyo, monthly).
